Sophia Myles from ‘Thunderbirds’ visits British Motor
Museum to be reunited with her iconic car!

The British Motor Museum recently welcomed actress Sophia Myles, best known for her role as Lady Penelope in the 2004 film Thunderbirds, for a special reunion with her iconic pink car, FAB 1. The famed vehicle has been a highlight of the Museum’s collection since 2005, but this visit marked the first time Sophia had seen it since the film’s release.
During her visit on 10 March, Sophia added a personal touch by signing the dashboard of FAB 1, making the beloved six-wheeler even more special for museum visitors. She also delighted fans by signing autographs and even Face Timed Ron Cook, who portrayed Lady Penelope’s loyal butler and chauffeur, Parker, in the film.
Following the reunion, Sophia enjoyed a private tour of the Museum’s extensive collection of historic vehicles.
Reflecting on the experience, she said, “I had the honour of being invited to the British Motor Museum to be reunited with my FAB 1 pink car. I never thought I could get emotional about a car, but seeing it again after over 20 years made me well up! The entire visit was a joy from start to finish. There are so many amazing vehicles to see. We were given a guided tour by Robin, which was utterly fascinating. Thank you to the entire team for giving me such a treat of a day! I cannot recommend a visit to the British Motor Museum highly enough. I will be returning for sure.”
Designed by Ford of Europe’s design team, FAB 1 was brought into the 21st century as a sleek, futuristic limousine fit for Lady Penelope’s adventures. In Thunderbirds, FAB 1 is no ordinary car—it travels on land, air, and sea under Parker’s expert command, while Lady Penelope enjoys unparalleled luxury in its opulent interior.
Visitors to the British Motor Museum now have the chance to see the newly autographed FAB 1 on display. For more information and to book tickets, please visit www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk.
